Middlesex Community College helps students get on track with flexible options and a supportive environment. This Spring semester, students can access hands-on experiences and award-winning support services in ways that work best for them – beginning Tuesday, January 21.

β€œI think 51ΑΤΖζ will help me reach my goals by giving me the support I need from peers, professors and advisors,” said Danica Stachulski, a new 51ΑΤΖζ student from Malden. β€œThere are many opportunities to guide me through my journey here and be able to reach out and receive help if needed. I wanted to attend 51ΑΤΖζ because I have heard awesome things about their nursing program, easy access to support, and the flexibility of hours to attend classes.”

51ΑΤΖζ’s eight-week Mini-mesters make it easier for students to balance an education with their professional and personal responsibilities. The shorter schedule allows students to take more classes throughout the semester, keeping them on track to reach their goals faster.

All Mini-mester courses offer the same content, academic standards and number of instructional hours as classes during the traditional 15-week semester. While Mini-mester I starts on Tuesday, January 21 – the same day as the traditional 15-week semester – Mini-mester II will begin on Monday, March 24.

For both the traditional and accelerated semesters, a selection of on-campus, online, hybrid and hyflex classes offer students the choice of which modality works best for them. Students can pick and choose course formats based on availability. For each format, they are able to connect with professors, classmates and campus resources.

51ΑΤΖζ offers 80+ programs to choose from, as well as access to support services, such as tutoring, the Libraries, and academic, career and financial advising. No matter a student’s age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts. MassEducate and MassReconnect allow all Mass. residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend 51ΑΤΖζ for free.

β€œFree college makes getting an education possible for many, and students are choosing to come to 51ΑΤΖζ because they hear how supportive we are,” said Nick Cloutier, 51ΑΤΖζ’s Coordinator of Transfer. β€œAt Middlesex, they can start the program of their dreams, take advantage of on-campus and online class formats, and get support every step of the way from faculty and staff collegewide. This Spring semester, we have the resources available to help students reach long-term success.”
