Local Consumer Program FAQs
The 51ÁÔÆæ Law Center Local Consumer Program also serves as a source for general consumer information and referral. Review the FAQs below if you have questions.
51ÁÔÆæ Law Center Local Consumer Program staff review all incoming consumer complaint forms for completeness and appropriateness for advocacy. A copy of the complaint form and letter are sent to the business requesting a written response and a Consumer Assistant is assigned to the case. The Consumer Assistant will contact both consumer and business via phone or email to see if an agreeable settlement may be reached. Occasionally a Consumer Assistant may request additional written documentation from the consumer and business for clarification or facilitation of the process. If an agreement cannot be reached, other options may be discussed.
